We are thankful!
ALO Update Vol 16 No 4

Juanita Reponte, age 14
Happy Horizons Children’s Ranch, Philippines

After a lifetime of loss and rejection, 13-year-old Juanita’s cousins brought the almost catatonic orphan—unable to speak, blink her eyes, or swallow liquids—to HHCR. Through prayer, God’s grace, and the dedication of HHCR staff, Juanita recovered from her mild psychosis and is now studying and doing well. In sharp contrast to her former zombie-like state, she now actively participates in the activities of the school, interacting well with the other children and staff. (Above, loving staff members pray with Juanita.)

“I thank God because He is very good to me. I am thankful that He is with me and protects me all the time. I thank HHCR because they care for me and help me.”

Rifan, age 11
Spice International Sunday School and feeding program, Indonesia

“I am thankful because I have a loving family. I am most thankful that I know Jesus.”

Daisy, age 18
Family Circus, Philippines

“I’m so thankful to be attending teachers’ college. I believe I was created to help others. I’m thankful to God for His many helps and blessings.”

Dewi, age 10
Spice International Sunday School and feeding program, Indonesia

“I am most thankful that I can eat. I want to thank God because He always helps me.”

Aileen, age 11
Family Circus, Philippines

“I am most thankful for the help of Family Circus—Uncle Darrell and Aunt Sandy, who this past month took me to the hospital after a jellyfish stung me. They saved my life and saved my leg from amputation. I’m also thankful to God for my second life, that He forgave my sins and gave me a new life. I’m also thankful for the food and vitamins (which ALO makes possible).”

Phammy, age 6
Childcare Community Ministries Philippines

“I thank God that through CCMP I was able to gain weight and eat well-balanced and nutritious food and vitamins. I also learn to wash my hands before and after eating, the proper way of using a toothbrush, and I also enjoy the book given to me. I actively attend Sunday School, and what I thank God for most is knowing that He loves me and that I’ve accepted Him as my Lord and Savior.”

Tracy, age 3
Spice International Sunday School and feeding program, Indonesia

“I want to say thank you to the teachers who have helped me learn about Jesus.”
