“No Matter What” . . . Sarah Bihag couldn’t get the words—or the tune-—out of her head. When the Happy Horizons Children’s Home worker first heard the song, written by fifteen-year-old Gina Fortuito and beautifully performed by kids from the home, it spoke volumes to Sarah’s heart and ministered to her soul. She couldn’t stop singing it.
Sarah felt inspired to film the singers and turn their performance into a music video. The video features Gina, her sister Rina, and Dindo—three main singers in a group called First Fruits, whose members write, play, and sing their own songs. Gina has written three songs so far and leads worship in school chapel and at Happy Church. She wants to sing for the Lord and plans to go to Bible school when she graduates from high school.
What started out as a labor of love just to share with the children became much more. “I’m proud of our kids for what they have done, and I can’t keep quiet about it,” Sarah raves. “My only way for people to hear it is to make a music video. I am hoping that as much as it has impacted me, it’ll do the same for those who hear and watch.” |
