Chiang Kham Scholarships
Thailand
Mission:
To provide scholarships so poor children can attend a Christian school that is highly regarded in the community and has a proven academic track record.
Chiang Kham Christian School (CKCS) is one of the very few Christian schools in Thailand. As the country is almost 95% Buddhist, other schooling options are saturated in Buddhism. Each year, ALO promises to fund 30 scholarships to enable students to attend a school with a strong academic and Christian curriculum. Roughly one-third of the children given scholarships are orphans from Romyen Children’s Home, another third are children of pastors and church planters, and the rest are children from low-income families in the community.
Target for 2026: $13,000
Breakdown: Scholarships of $434 each for 30 children
Additional Details: Most Thai schools are built on temple property, and Buddhism is woven into the curriculum. Chiang Kham Christian School offers the only alternative to such indoctrination. They share Jesus and teach with excellence. For the last five years, they have had the highest marks in the nation in English and Math!
Hold on to instruction, do not let it go; guard it well, for it is your life.
