God Works In An Electronics Shop in Thailand
Chiang Rai, Thailand • Young Surachai had heard about Jesus’ great love for him since he was 16 years old, when he and his sisters came to live at Chiang Rai Children’s Home. But he resisted God’s drawing him.
Surachai graduated from technical school, left the children’s home, and went to work in Chiang Rai’s largest electronics store. “I am a stubborn person,” he told the home’s director before he left. “When I believe, nobody will be able to turn me away from God.”
God was working on Surachai in that electronics store. He often visited the children’s home to see his younger sisters. Before long, he joined a weekly Bible-study group at the home. After one such study, Surachai made his way to the stage to share with the group how God had been working in his life. “I thank God, who led me to this children’s home so that now I am a Christian. And I believe that all of you are here because God has a great plan for your life.”
Those who worked with Surachai in the children’s home believe that God is calling Surachai from the electronics shop to the ministry. They are continuing to pray that this resolute and now redeemed young man will dedicate his life to Christian service.
