No Retreat: Will You Please Pray?

“On Him we have set our hope that He will continue to deliver us, as you help us by your prayers.

2 Corinthians 1:10-11 NIV

“Will you please pray to your God on our behalf?” the Buddhist woman on the other end of the phone implore Joy. Due to the political situation, Joy and other foreigners are no longer allowed to live and work directly in [sensitive country]. But they remain nearby, working on behalf of the people there. The conflict and bitter hopelessness has caused many to recognize their need for help; they need a savior.

“The power of prayer is exactly what this country needs right now,” Joy said. “The greatest weapon we have is prayer.”

Prayer Requests:

  • Peace and restoration for the country

  • Hope for the people

  • That the local church will have courage and a great desire to spread the Gospel

  • That God will reach out to people through dreams and revelations

  • For wisdom, favor, provision, and opportunities for Christian workers focusing on this sensitive country from outside its borders

These people need hope.

They are desperate for the assurance only Jesus can give. The country may be closed, but people’s hearts are open. The time to act is NOW!

Will you give hope?
